One Song That Has An Example Of A Hyperbole

I'm Only Me When I'm With You
by Taylor Swift

Friday night beneath the stars,
in a field behind your yard,
you and I are paintin' pictures in the sky.
And sometimes we don't say a thing;
just listen to the crickets sing.
Everything I need is right here by my side.
And I know everything about you
I don't wanna live without you.

[Chorus:]
I'm only up when you're not down.
Don't wanna fly if you're still on the ground.
It's like no matter what I do.
Well you drive me crazy half the time;
the other half I'm only trying to let you know that what I feel is true.
And I'm only me when I'm with you.

Just a small town boy and girl
livin' in a crazy world.
Tryin' to figure out what is and isn't true.
And I don't try to hide my tears.
The secrets or my deepest fears.
Through it all nobody gets me like you do.
And you know everything about me.
You say that you can't live without me.

[Chorus]

When I'm with anybody else it's so hard to be myself.
Only you can tell.

[Chorus:]
That I'm only up when you're not down.
Don't wanna fly if you're still on the ground.
It's like no matter what I do.
Well you drive me crazy half the time;
the other half I'm only trying to let you know that what I feel is true.
And I'm only me
Who I wanna be
Well, I'm only me when I'm with you
With you
Uh huh
Yeah

Three Country Love Songs That Use Alliteration

Something About Her
by Brad Paisley

Here I am
Not knowing where I stand
Here I am
Looking for a place to land
My heart in the palm of her hand
I'm just a boy dying to be her man
Between tomorrow and yesterday
What I really want to say
Is that I'm falling for something about her
Something about her

She is to me
The rainbow through the rain
She is to me
The laughter through the pain
Like sugar from the cane
Directly through my veins
She’s living in my dreams
She’s a vision and it seems
That I'm falling for something about her
Something about her

My life has been a ship sailing sea to sea
My life has been completely set free
Moments of ecstasy
All I could hope it to be
Now with her I’d like to share
Show her how much I care

I'd like to say
I'll love her night and day
I'd like to say
I'll never turn away
Forever come what may
By her side I'll always stay
She’s every star that’s in the sky
Every glimmer in my eye
And I'm falling for something about her
Something about her
Oh I'm falling for something about her
Something about her

Feels Just Like A Love Song
by Sara Evans

Feels Just Like a Love Song Lyrics

It's always been inside my head.
Sunlit hardwood floors and feather beds.
And children laughin' runnin' up and down the stairs.
It would be heaven without goin' nowhere.

(Chorus)
And when a dream starts comin' true.
It feels like destiny, like i already knew.
Like you were meant for me, and me for you.
And it feels like i'm right where i've always belonged.
And it feels just like a love song.

The way we talk, the way you smile.
You kiss my lips, it drives me wild.
I never knew until i felt your touch.
That i could need someone so much.

(Chorus)

Tell my wedding goodbye.
It's all blue skies.
Feels like comin' home.
And it feels just like a love song.
Feels like destiny, like i already knew.
Like you were meant for me, and me for you.
And it feels like i'm right where i've always belonged.
And it feels just live a love song.

And it feels just like a love song

Stealing Cinderella
by Chuck Wicks

I came to see her daddy for sit down man to man
It wasn't any secret i'd be asking for her hand
I guess that's why he left me waiting in the living room by myself
with at least a dozen pictures of her sitting on a shelf

[Chorus;]

She was playing Cinderella
She was riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
In her eyes i'm Prince Charming
But to him i'm just some fella
riding in and stealing Cinderella

I leaned in towards those pictures to get a better look at one
When I heard a voice behind me say "Now, ain't she something, son?"
I said "Yes, she quite a woman" and he just stared at me
Then I realized that in his eyes she would always be

Playing Cinderella
Riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
In her eyes i'm Prince Charming
But to him i'm just some fella
riding in and stealing Cinderella

He slapped me on the shoulder
Then he called her in the room
When she threw her arms around him
That's when I could see it too

She was Playing Cinderella
Riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
If he gives me a hard time
I can't blame the fella
I'm the one who's stealing Cinderella

Two songs within my genre/theme that use imagery

I Saw God Today lyrics
by: George Strait

Just walked down the street to the coffee shop
Had to take a break
I'd been by her side for 18 hours straight
Saw a flower growin' in the middle of the sidewalk
Pushin' up through the concrete
Like it was planted right there for me to see
The flashin' lights
The honkin' horns
All seemed to fade away In the shadow of that hospital at 5:08
I saw God today

I've been to church
I've read the book
I know he's here
But I don't look
Near as often as I should
Yeah, I know I should
His fingerprints are everywhere
I just slowed down to stop and stare
Opened my eyes and man I swear
I saw God today

Saw a couple walkin' by they were holdin' hands
Man she had that glow
Yeah I couldn't help but notice she was startin' to show it
Stood there for a minute takin' the sky
Lost in that sunset
Splash of amber melted in the shades of red

I've been to church
I've read the book
I know he's here
But I don't look
Near as often as I should
Yeah, I know I should
His fingerprints are everywhere I just slowed down to stop and stare
Opened my eyes and man I swear
I saw God today

Got my face pressed up against the nursery glass
She's sleepin' like a rock
My name on her wrist
Wearin' tiny pink socks
She's got my nose, she's got her mama's eyes
My brand new baby girl
She's a miracle
I saw God today

Discription: This song has a lot of imagery in it I believe. He is blessed with a baby and he is thanking God for the day the baby arrived. A line from this song that has imagery in it is, "Saw a flower growin' in the middle of the sidewalk, pushing up the concrete." That line is an example of imagery because you can picture what is happening. Another example from this song that has imagery in it is, " She's got my nose, she's got her mama's eyes. My brand new baby girl, she's a miracle." That is an example of imagery because you can picture the baby.

Why Don't We Just Dance
by: Josh Turner

Baby why don't we just turn that tv off
Three hundred fifteen channels of nothing but bad news on
Well it might be me but the way I see it the whole world has gone crazy
So baby why don't we just dance

Guess the little bitty living room aint gonna look like much
When the lights go down and we move the couch its gonna be more than enough
For my two left feet and our two hearts beatin' nobody's gonna see us go crazy
So baby why don't we just dance down the hall maybe straight up the stairs bouncin' off the wall floatin' on air baby why don't we just dance

Baby why don't you go put your best dress on
Those high heeled shoes you love to lose as soon as the tunes come on
On second thought just the way you are is already drivin' me crazy so baby why don't we just dance down the hall maybe straight up the stairs bouncin' off the wall floatin'
on air baby why don't we just dance

Ah cut a rug

Well it might be me but the way I see it the whole world has gone crazy so baby why don't we just dance Oh baby why don't we just dance

Discription: This song has a lot of imagery as well as the song, I Saw God Today by George Strait. A line from this song that has imagery in it is, "Baby why don't we just turn the tv off. Three hundred fifteen channels and nothing but bad news on." This is an example of imagery because you can get a picture of what he is talking about just by reading the lyrics. Another example from this song that is an example of imagery is, "So baby why don't we just dance, down the hall maybe straight up the stairs, bouncin' off the wall floatin' on air. Baby why don't we just dance." This line is an example of imagery because you can just visualize what this line is saying.

Love through Country Music

The theme and genre I chose is love through country music. I chose this theme because it is common in the country genre and there many good songs that influenced me to choose this theme. For example, the song Then by Brad Paisley. This song is about him and his wife through all the stages of their relationship, and how he fell in love with her more and more every day. An example of his growing love is, "Now you're my whole life, now you're my whole world. I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl." Brad tell his wife how he never thought he would love her as much as he does in that moment.
